在台灣就已經是個舞臺劇迷的我，New York City對我而言，另一項不可抗拒的魅力就是Broadway的舞台劇，我目前只把幾個比較知名的show(歌劇魅影，獅子王，芝加哥，媽媽咪呀，吉屋出租)看完，後來才發現，哈，紐約果真就是紐約，有一天無意間找到網路在賣Broadway Show的網站，發現，我根本就是井底之蛙，原來還有這麼多戲可以慢慢看。打算等到放寒假，我的FL Disney World Trip結束之後，要來個Boradway狂看之旅。
"Rent 吉屋出租"。述說六七個住在East Villiage的朋友們，那大概是屬於60-80年代的故事，East Villiage在NYC又屬於藝術家居住的地點，很多有才華的藝術家卻懷才不遇，身無分文，卻因為如此，這些人的命運卻有一種緊緊相繫的感覺。五年前來美國自助旅行的時候看過一次，就深深被劇中的歌曲吸引，雖然搞不太清楚到底在唱什麼，但因為那時候lucky的抽到花20元可以坐80元的lottery，我根本就是眼睜睜的看著女主角在我面前流眼淚，或許就是因為如此，我對這部戲真是如痴如狂，我記得那時候瓊丹還買了原版的CD，我們回到Flushing的家之後，都會躺在床上一直重複聽那幾首最愛的歌。前一陣子謝小祥同學來探親的時候，原本滿懷希望要跟我一起看"媽媽咪呀"，但很抱歉的是，我已經陪我老爸在Vegas看過了，而且強烈不推薦，故事張力沒那麼強。所以我又再度推薦了她"Rent"，我就又看了一次Rent，當然這次沒那麼lucky，花了$50還是得高得要命的座位，再度喚起我對那首主題曲的回憶，"Season of Love"，最近，美國也已經出了電影版，上禮拜五晚上又跟朋友去看了一遍，不知道為何，我朋友居然跟我說音樂很好聽，但可是內容有點讓他想睡覺，我想應該只有我會這麼瘋狂愛這部show吧。
之前無意間在逛酪梨壽司的網站，看到她也有感寫了一篇文章，謹用這首歌紀念我們這些留學生在New York的所見所聞，孤單寂寞以及成長。那晚，我彷彿又找回我失去的力量，因為我知道在燈火點亮的New York City裡，我們都在學習，學習成長，而我不是那唯一孤單的人。或許這就是我對於這部show這麼有感情吧。因為我總會想起在我身邊所有的朋友和家人，我記得很清楚你們的笑容，想起你們都在為自己的夢想而努力，想起你們也曾跟我抱怨對於工作，愛情，朋友，生活的不滿，想起你們也曾和我分享你生命中所有的喜悅，想起你們會是我最大最大的力量。雖然我和你們分開了，雖然我和男朋友分手了，雖然一個人在這冰天雪地裡有時候會覺得寂寞的快死掉，可是我不後悔當初做了決定，因為我知道，當我重新在面對你們的時候，我會有所不同。而這不就是我們要的成長嗎？
我好愛好愛你們這一群在我生命佔有重要地位的朋友，大家都要健康平安和幸福喔。
